Sarah Friar is Chief Financial Officer at OpenAI, whose mission is to ensure artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. A builder at heart, Sarah has led through every stage of company growth: as CEO of Nextdoor, CFO of Square, and in roles at Salesforce, Goldman Sachs, and McKinsey. She serves on the boards of Walmart, ConsenSys, and the Stanford Board of Trustees.

Sarah also advises Operation HOPE and co-founded Ladies Who Launch, a nonprofit that helps inspire, empower, and fund a global community of women and under-resourced entrepreneurs to grow and sustain the businesses of their dreams. Originally from Northern Ireland, Sarah brings a global perspective, deep operating experience, and a belief that technology should expand opportunity for people everywhere.
